2012 Schedule

Practice Schedule:

Gremlins: Tues, Thurs
Bantams: Mon, Tues, Thurs
Midgets: Mon, Wed, Thurs
Youth & Int: Mon, Wed, Thurs

Specialty Event Practice Schedule:

With the exception of the few days where practice will be back at Arroyo Verde, the “specialty practice” schedule is as follows:

Monday – High Jump (Midgets), Long Jump (Bantams), Shot Put (Y&I)
Tuesday – Long Jump (Gremlins)
Wednesday – High Jump (Y&I), Shot Put (Midgets), Hurdles (Midgets)
Thursday – High Jump (Bantams), Long Jump (Midgets and Y&I), Shot Put (Bantams), Hurdles (Y&Y)

Starting Feb 27th, practice moves to the Buena High School track.

The following days, Buena High will be using the field, and practices will take place at Arroyo Verde:

Thurs, Mar 22
Thurs, April 12
Thurs, April 19

  • Practice time moves to 4:30 – 6:00. Gremlins practice will still run 4:30-5:30
  • There will be times when there are conflicts with other Buena sports that need the facility. We will send out information regarding schedule changes as we receive it.
  • Please do NOT have your athletes bring their spikes to practice this week. We will send out a message when it’s OK to start bringing them.
  • We can not enter the actual track until Buena’s track team is finished. We will ring the cow bell when it’s OK to enter.

  • March 10th: Ventura Tigres Practice Meet (HOME: all volunteers must attend)
  • March 17th (Week 1): Ventura vs. Thousand Oaks (Home meet @ Buena High School)
  • March 24th (Week 2): Ventura vs. Newbury Park (Home meet @ Buena High School)
  • March 31st (Week 3): Moorpark vs. Ventura (Away meet @ Moorpark High School)
  • April 14th & 15th: Dual Conference Meet (VCYTC & SCYTC @ Moorpark High School)
  • April 21st (Week 4): Ventura vs. Oxnard (Home meet @ Buena High School)
  • April 28th (Week 5): Ventura vs. Ojai vs. Moorpark (Home meet @ Buena High School)
  • May 5th (Week 6): Ventura vs. Camarillo (CAMARILLO HIGH) – Tigres Will Be Running Timing Equipment
  • May 12th: JV Finals West @ Nordhoff High School (Ojai)
  • May 19th: Varsity Finals @ Moorpark High
  • June 2nd: VCYTC/SCYTC Championships
