What a great first week of practice.  It was exciting to see such great attitudes and teamwork!

A few reminders for next week:

- There is no practice this coming Monday.  The next practice we have is next Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 at Arroyo Verde Park.

- We will be handing out uniforms at practice on Wednesday.

- Please remember to label your athletes clothes, water bottles and any other gear they bring to practice.

If you’re interested in having your athlete workout during our “mini break”, below are the workouts.

Saturday and Monday are the same workout (your athlete should know what group they are in).

Ninja Bunny Rabbits, Cheetahs and Pandas – 10 minutes of EASY running

Crushers – 25 minutes of EASY running

Just to add a little content, I’ve included a link to the Bantam season video from last year.  Hopefully it will give you new parents an idea of how much fun the athletes have and maybe even get your athletes more excited for the upcoming season.

Tigres Youth and Intermediate Parents:

Tigres practice starts on Monday, February 13th.  We will be meeting at Arroyo Verde park near the first restrooms on the left after you enter the park.  Practice will be from 4:30-5:45 until we move to Buena’s track (February 27th).  If possible, please plan on staying for the entire first practice so we can have a parent meeting where we will provide some information for the season and you will have an opportunity to ask any questions.

 Please have your athlete wear comfortable clothes to run in along with a sweatshirt (it can get cold as the sun sets) and water.

  • February practices will be at Arroyo Verde park.
  • We practice on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Our first practice is on Valentine’s Day – Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
  • Our practices run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
  • Please arrive by 4:20 p.m. to sign-in your athlete and write his/her name tag.
  • At Arroyo Verde, we will meet at the picnic tables area right next to the first parking lot.
  • Athletes will need running shoes, shirts, t-shirt, sweat pants, jacket or sweatshirt, and water for every practice. (I recommend bringing a sports bag marked with your athlete’s name.)
  • Parents must sign-in and sign-out their athlete(s) at every practice.
  • I will have an organizational meeting with parents on both days of our first week of practice to review the informational packet and answer any questions that you may have.
