We are really looking forward to our first meet this weekend at Buena High School vs. the Thousand Oaks Flyers.  Provided there is no meet cancellation due to rain (more on that in a second), lets be sure to show the Flyers what great hosts we are and, more importantly, lets have fun!  This will be one of our busiest meets, as they  have a near full club (270 athletes) and we have our highest number of athletes in quite a few years, but we are more than ready for it!

Timers, results and data entry volunteers: we are going to have a couple slightly different procedures for you – but we will be sure to go over all these changes with you at the AM and PM shifts – and also review your positions in more detail unlike our practice meet.  We realize a lot of our volunteers are new and apologize for not going into more detail on things this past weekend, but thank you for your patience (we were still learning a few things ourselves).

Weather info: The Buena High track is an all weather field and generally, the meets continue if it is raining.  If there is thunder/lightning or if it is a very heavy downpour, we will cancel the meet. Right now, our current plan is to have a early AM call on Saturday with Thousand Oaks to make a decision based on the weather at that time.  To get notified of the meet status, we will be posting at appx. 6:30am that A) The meet is ON, or B) The meet is cancelled. If you find no updates, then assume we just got too excited and forgot to post that the meet is on. You will find this info in a few places:

See you on the track!
