As the season has gone on and the athletes (and parents) have become familiar with the way our practices run, I’ve had a few athletes ask questions about why don’t we stretch.  I’ve also had a few athletes that have been sore or had pains and asked if they should stretch it out.

This is a somewhat controversial topic in sports today.  There is likely no 100% right or wrong answer, but we believe that stretching (static), is not something that is beneficial and can in fact cause more issues.  If you believe in static stretching or you have a Doctor telling you or your athlete to stretch, feel free to continue, but it is not something we endorse or spend time on.
