Ventura Tigres Parent Meeting — Monday, January 26 at 6:30 pm

 Parents of new athletes are welcome to bring proof of birth year (either passport or birth certificate) to the meeting.

The start of the Ventura Tigres track season is coming soon. Please take note of these upcoming dates and changes for our team.

Parent Meeting — Monday, January 26 at 6:30 pm — at the Buena High School Cafeteria

Returning and new parents should plan to attend this meeting. We will talk about the season, explain our volunteer sign up system, and answer questions. Parents of new athletes are welcome to bring proof of birth year (either passport or birth certificate) to the meeting.

Practice Time Change and Dates

Due to a change in availability of the Buena High School track our new Tigres practice time will be 5:30 to 7 pm.

All age groups will have two regular team practice days each week. More information about practices can be found here. 

Monday, February 2 at 5:30 pm — First day of 10U (Bantams), 12U (Juniors), and the Youth/Intermediate teams will begin at the Buena High School Track.

Tuesday, February 3 at 5:30 pm — First day of 8U (Gremlin) practice at the Buena High School Track.

Speciality Practices Start on Tuesday, February 10 at 5:30 pm — Specialty practices for 10U, 12U, and the Youth/Intermediate teams will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Specialty practices are not mandatory. The speciality practice schedule is TBA. To get an idea of the possible schedule you can click here for the 2025 schedule.

First Meet

Saturday, February 28 at 8:30 am — Austin Gambill Practice Meet at the Buena High School Track. The full 2026 season meet schedule can be viewed here.

Please also note that official Tigres practices do not occur when Ventura Unified School District is not in session. There will be no practice on February 16, March 30 through April 2, and April 6. Thank you!

Reminder about Cancelation Policy

We understand that conflicts arise that prevent athletes from participating in Tigres after registration. If you need to cancel your child’s registration, please send an email request to registration@venturatigres.org

• Full refunds of registration fees (minus a processing fee) are available until the Parent Meeting on Monday, January 26.
• Partial refunds (50%) of fees (minus a processing fee) are available from Tuesday, January 27 until Friday, February 20.
• After Friday, February 20, Tigres is unable to provide refunds.

At this time all of our divisions are full for the 2026 season and we are no longer taking names for our wait list.

Open Registration — Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025 beginning at 8 am

Registration will continue until all available spots have been filled. Mark your calendar! Once all spots are filled a wait list will be created. Please note that some age groups have filled up within 20 minutes during Open Registration in past years.

2026 Registration Fee


$175 per athlete, $165 for siblings
